About us

How We Express Ourselves

At National Academy School, we believe expression takes many forms—words, actions, art, and ideas. Under the IB PYP theme How We Express Ourselves, students explore their identities and express their learning through meaningful experiences such as SLCs, creative performances, public speaking, and the PYP Exhibition.

Our Grade 5 PYP Exhibition stands as a capstone of inquiry, where learners investigate global issues of personal relevance and present their findings creatively to the school and wider community. This process strengthens research skills, builds confidence, and celebrates student agency.

At National Academy School – Celebrating Voice, Creativity, and Expression:

Expression is at the heart of learning in the PYP. At National Academy School, students explore their identity, ideas, and creativity through a variety of engaging platforms designed to help them communicate with confidence and purpose.

Sportsman (Aug/Sep)

Expression through movement is highlighted during our sports event. Learners exhibit physical confidence, strategy, and sportsmanship in a spirit of celebration and teamwork.

Annual Talk Show (Dec/Jan)

Our Talk Show is a student-led platform where learners interview guests, present research, and initiate dialogues on real-world topics, fostering inquiry, voice, and collaboration.

Annual Day Celebrations (Feb/Mar)

Students express themselves through music, dance, drama, and visual art presentations aligned with transdisciplinary units, showcasing their cultural understanding and performance skills.

Student-Led Conferences (3 Times/Year)

Students take the lead in sharing their learning journey, reflections, and future goals with their parents. These conferences develop confidence, metacognition, and ownership of learning.

Field Visits and Educational Trips

Field experiences extend student learning beyond the classroom and offer new ways to observe, reflect, and express understanding of the world around them.

PYP Exhibition – Grade 5

The PYP journey culminates in a powerful event where Grade 5 students explore global issues through research, action, and presentations. It empowers them to make a difference.
