About us

Sharing the Planet

At National Academy School, the theme Sharing the Planet is not just a unit—it’s a way of thinking and living. On the first day of the academic year, our PYP learners each received a sapling, symbolizing care, growth, and the promise of a better world. This experience marked the beginning of our Gardening for the Planet project, where students take ownership of nurturing life while learning about sustainability, biodiversity, and responsibility.

Our students also take part in beach clean-up drives, charity campaigns, and visits to orphanages, giving them opportunities to take meaningful action in both environmental and social contexts. These engagements empower learners to be compassionate, proactive citizens of a globally connected world.

PYP Actions & Student Engagement at National Academy School:

Kickstarting with Care – Our PYP Garden Project

> On the very first day of the PYP year, each student was gifted a sapling by the school Correspondent and Principal—marking the start of our Gardening for the Planet initiative. This symbolic gesture helps students understand their role as caretakers of the environment. Students are now actively involved in nurturing these plants, learning about life cycles, interdependence, and sustainability through hands-on experiences in our school garden.

Beach Clean-Up Drives

> Through real-world environmental actions like beach clean-up programs, learners develop awareness of pollution and its effect on marine ecosystems, fostering a sense of responsibility toward protecting our natural surroundings.

Charity for Underprivileged Communities

> Students at National Academy School engage in meaningful acts of giving by organizing donation drives and fundraising campaigns to support communities in need, connecting to the values of fairness, equity, and access to resources.

Visits to Destitute and Orphanage Homes

> These visits allow students to build empathy, understand diverse perspectives, and explore the idea of human connection and dignity, fostering a sense of peace, inclusion, and social justice.
